What is Mastercard© Identity Check™?
3D Secure is an additional security layer for online credit and debit card transactions that's created to reduce fraud. With Mastercard© Identity Check™ technology, Cardholder identity is additionally checked at the time of purchase online.
How does Mastercard© Identity Check™ work?
- When making a payment, after entering the payment card data on the online store page, you will be redirected to the Bank's page to confirm payment with One-Time Security Code (delivered to the Cardholder via SMS) or DIGIPASS code.
- Always look for your personal assurance message (entered during ID Check activation process at LPB Internet bank) before submitting One-Time Security Code or DIGIPASS code.
If a personal assurance message other than yours appears
on the screen, please do not proceed and contact our Customer Service Center.
If the Merchant does not participate in 3D
Secure payments service, to complete a purchase, please follow the regular
Mastercard© Identity Check™ activation
All LPB payment cards must be activated for Mastercard© Identity Check™ online payments. Payment cards can be activated at LPB Internet bank, under section “Accounts” or in person at the Bank’s Customer Service Center.
